Giovanni graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. With an affinity for law and public affairs, both foreign and domestic, he became very involved in UCF’s many club programs, among them; Student Government, Student Republicans, Student Democrats, and Model United Nations. During his time in academia, he gravitated and excelled in coursework that would ultimately pique his interest in foreign affairs, leading him here, to the MAGA program. Setting his sights on international relations, Giovanni worked with the U.S. State Department’s Mission in Geneva, Switzerland. Operating with the U.S. delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Council, he saw firsthand the policies being drafted from around the world to combat human rights violations wherever they appear. The experience in Geneva not only exposed him to the instruments of international organizations, NGOs, and intergovernmental functions, but also the inner mechanisms of the U.S. Government.
With diplomacy in mind, as a son to Egyptian immigrants, he has great working knowledge of Arabic culture and language skills. His interests include international law, homeland security, human rights issues, and counter-terrorism.
