In 2016, Jason Carmona graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and minor in International Relations. He also received certificates in National Security studies and Latin American and Caribbean studies. Mr. Carmona currently works at the United States Southern Command as the Executive Officer in the Office of Congressional Affairs. He is a Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps as an Ordnance Technician in training operations overseas and in country, as well as in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. Mr. Carmona also has experience in the medical field as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic and worked for his community in Miami, Florida where he was born and raised. He is bilingual, proficient in Spanish and English, and is currently studying the Portuguese language. His interests include diplomacy, transnational security threats, and cooperation between public and private sectors. He hopes to be a successful entrepreneur and influence positive changes to the global community.
