Omar Roig graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in History in 2014. He was also awarded certificates in European and Women’s Studies. Currently, Omar is working as a volunteer with the UNICEF CAT (Congressional Action Team). During the summer of 2016 he participated in the WorldTeach Morocco program and worked as a community educator in Casablanca. Omar is originally from Cuba and has working knowledge of English and Spanish. His interests include international diplomacy, terrorism, transnational crime, and human rights.
